Day 4 – Name a stereotype or cliche you can relate to.

Miss FD-Moment Of Fade

I think it would be the vampire.

I relate to them because I know what it meant to hide in the (closet) darkness.

You want to tell everybody but you can not! They'll freak out and (deny, reject) kill you.

And so you have to pass up as (straight) human.

And also that longing.  And loneliness.  And unquenchable thirst (understanding and a connection)

Day 3 – Share photos and experiences from your Baby Bat days.

I'm going to skip this one because I don't have any photos of that time.  Yet.

Sister won't give me the photos.

:/

Until I get them, I'll post them here.

Day 2 – When did you come out the Goth closet?

Music: Miss FD-Enter The Void

It was around x-mas time in 2008 (actually, it was x-mas) and I was taking out the trash and then this happened:

Guy: Are you Gothic?

Me: Uh, *throws trash and then looks at him* I don't believe in labels.

Guy: But if you did, what would you label yourself as?

Me: Even then, I wouldn't label myself.

Guy: Interesting.

*We start walking.*

Guy: Well, merry Christmas!

Me: *Smiles warmly and nods* Merry Christmas!

*Goes back home, smiling until I enter my room*.

A few days later, I was walking with my mom to the bus stop and I saw a woman wearing a long black skirt and boots.  She had purple hair.

I couldn't stop staring at her.  She walked with such grace and confidence.  She didn't care that people looked at her.

While looking at her, I wanted to become friends with her.  I wanted to try on some of her clothes and even borrow some.  Go shopping with her.

Through out that time, I searched online and looked at some of the history of the Gothic subculture.

In the middle of 2009, I officially called myself Gothic.

Day 1 – How did you come across the subculture?

It was May of 2006 (I was 15) and I was browsing images on the Internet and I searched for "Dark Art" and I came across Victoria Frances.

I went through her gallery and I was in love how the women were dressed.

In 2008, I got my first corset.  I started crying because it hurt so much.  But then the more I wore it, the more I got accustomed to it.

Hell, I even wear it when my back hurts.
