Day 21 – What body mod do you have or have you considered?

Music-Emilie Autumn-Goodbye

No..........

Just......no.

But I appreciate the people that wear them (and have the balls!)!  And it's nice to look at.  But it's not for me.

I just hate needles.

Day 20 – If you could dye your hair any color what would it be?

 Music: The Cruxshadows-Deception

Any fucking color.

Day 19 – Share beauty advise and take a photo of your make up.

I don't wear make-up.  Don't even style my hair a certain way.

So, again, sorry.

Day 18 – Worst hair experience.

 Music: BlutEngel-Undone

When my sister was trying to fix my hair and it wouldn't cooperate with her.

She tried to make it curly.  And my hair was just being a bitch.

:P

And when I was a little girl, I had my hair up to my ears.

Never.  Again.

Even if I get paid.

Alright, maybe :P

Day 17 – Your favorite Goth brand.

I don't really know of any brands.

So, yeah.....

I just find them at thrift stores and find what I like.

Day 16 – What's the most casual you've ever dressed?

The most casual?

Jeans, simple top, boots.

With my laced-gloves.  Sometimes.

Day 15 – Your favorite or most expensive item in your wardrobe.

Music: Otep-Sweet Tooth

My favorite item has to be a red blouse (with bell sleeves!) that my mom let me have.

The most expensive? Mmmm.

I think it has to be a dress that I bought for graduation.  I think it was $70

I think.

My favorite item(s) have to be my Faith And The Muse t-shirts.  I bought two.

It even came with a free DVD.

Day 14 – What was your best and worst DIY disaster.

Music: Tegan and Sara-You Went Away

I tried to make gloves with bell sleeves.  I ended up cutting a lot than what was necessary.

That's the worst.  Ultimate worst.

The best is that I tried to cut a skirt for my Monster High dolls.  I cut it just right.  It's just that...I didn't have anything to tie it with.

And I don't know how to sew.

Day 13 – What was your first band t-shirt?

 Music: BlutEngel-Angel Of The Night

They are not Goth but whatever.

The first band t-shirt I bought was by Evanescence.  I got it in 2005.  I bought it at Hot Topic.  Yeah.  I occasionally shop there.  Fuck you.  I got it for $15!

Here's the photo:

As the years passed by, it faded.  It wasn't black anymore.  It was gray/white in some places.  Yeah.  I know.

I didn't want to throw it away so my mom cut it and she put it in a frame.  I still have it.  When I get a cam, I'll take a photo of it.

Day 12 – What's your Gothic inspiration?

I would say Jillan Venters.

See for yourself.

Her website is right here.

Day 11 – Is Goth a lifestyle for you?

Music: Corday-Skin

If we are talking about interests and values, then, yes.

I understand what it means to be an outcast.

If we're talking about behavior (how do you act Goth?), then, no.

Day 10 – What do you hate and love about the subculture?

Music: Melissa Ferrick-Drive

I like that there are so many sub-genre's to the Goth community.  It's not just Goth.  I like how (some apparently! Yes, I'm looking at you Goth.net) are open-minded.

What I dislike about the subculture is how some teenagers give us a bad name.  They think it's okay to stomp and glare and take the Goth thing way too seriously.

Day 9 – What genre of music do you dislike?

Country, rap, and Spanish music.

I can't even tolerate it.  Not even if I was paid.  I mean it.

In fact, that "haircut up to my ears" is starting to look pretty damn good right now.

Day 8 – What's your worst and best experience with non-Goths?

Music: Otep-Buried Alive

Let's start with worst.

When I attended public school, I was walking down the hallway (trying to avoid Gym class), a jock (not even fucking kidding) called out, "Hey! It's not Halloween yet!"

It was a week before Halloween.  And I was wearing my usual clothing.  Corset, skirt and boots.

I stopped going to school after that.

Best:

The compliments I get on my clothing and how I don't care if people look at me.

  1. BlutEngel
  2. One-Eyed Doll
  3. Kimberly Freeman
  4. Tegan And Sara

Day 6 –Hand write your favorite lyric and take a picture

I'm not going to fucking hand-write my favorite lyric.  I'll just post it!

Vision
Look inside into yourself
Tell me what you see
And is it you?

I'm the one who reaches through the scars around your heart
I'm the one who sees your beauty shining in the dark

You know the things that they told you
Were not true after all
Now shed your outside skin
And open up your eyes

I'm the one who reaches through the scars around your heart
I'm the one who sees your beauty shining in the dark
Lift your face and look into my eyes
I'm the one who knows who you are inside
All my tears will wash away the pain
Lift your face and look into my eyes

-The Shroud

Day 5-When people stared at you, did it bother you?

Music: Miss FD-Cry For You

Since, I don't know of any local Goth band in my area, I'll just do this.

Well, when I got started on the whole Goth thing and up to when I was 17 (and early 18), it did bother me.  A lot.

I used to bitch and moan about it.

But when I was 18, late, late, late into my 18's, I just stopped worrying about it.  I had adult things to do (sign important papers and such), that I just stopped giving a fuck.

So, thank you adulthood!

Day 4 – Name a stereotype or cliche you can relate to.

Miss FD-Moment Of Fade

I think it would be the vampire.

I relate to them because I know what it meant to hide in the (closet) darkness.

You want to tell everybody but you can not! They'll freak out and (deny, reject) kill you.

And so you have to pass up as (straight) human.

And also that longing.  And loneliness.  And unquenchable thirst (understanding and a connection)

Day 3 – Share photos and experiences from your Baby Bat days.

I'm going to skip this one because I don't have any photos of that time.  Yet.

Sister won't give me the photos.

:/

Until I get them, I'll post them here.

Day 2 – When did you come out the Goth closet?

Music: Miss FD-Enter The Void

It was around x-mas time in 2008 (actually, it was x-mas) and I was taking out the trash and then this happened:

Guy: Are you Gothic?

Me: Uh, *throws trash and then looks at him* I don't believe in labels.

Guy: But if you did, what would you label yourself as?

Me: Even then, I wouldn't label myself.

Guy: Interesting.

*We start walking.*

Guy: Well, merry Christmas!

Me: *Smiles warmly and nods* Merry Christmas!

*Goes back home, smiling until I enter my room*.

A few days later, I was walking with my mom to the bus stop and I saw a woman wearing a long black skirt and boots.  She had purple hair.

I couldn't stop staring at her.  She walked with such grace and confidence.  She didn't care that people looked at her.

While looking at her, I wanted to become friends with her.  I wanted to try on some of her clothes and even borrow some.  Go shopping with her.

Through out that time, I searched online and looked at some of the history of the Gothic subculture.

In the middle of 2009, I officially called myself Gothic.

Day 1 – How did you come across the subculture?

It was May of 2006 (I was 15) and I was browsing images on the Internet and I searched for "Dark Art" and I came across Victoria Frances.

I went through her gallery and I was in love how the women were dressed.

In 2008, I got my first corset.  I started crying because it hurt so much.  But then the more I wore it, the more I got accustomed to it.

Hell, I even wear it when my back hurts.
